Studied acting at Humboldt State University graduating in 1985 with a BA in Theatre Arts and a BA in Psychology. Was very active in the local Humboldt County theatre scene acting and directing in over 50 plays and doing commercials for local TV. Leading roles included Stanley in Street Car Named Desire and Bo in Bus Stop. Was approached and hired for 500 dollars by the director of a very low budget, amateur horror movie, Alex's Apartment (1992), to play the psycho killer. Was probably the only actor to actually be paid because he opted not to work for a share of the profit. He later became a teacher and moved to Seattle.
