Lexxi is an accomplished dancer with close to twenty years experience (ballet, hip-hop, bellydance and professional ballroom). After competing in dance and working in theatre, she decided to capitalize on her vocal ability. It wasn't long before Lexxi made her live debut on stage at several concert halls and casinos all around the Metro-Detroit area performing everything from top 40, blues, rock, alternative and smooth jazz to R&B, pop, dancehall, and reggae (soca & calypso). Lexxi became a regional finalist for "Star Search" (1992) and a finalist for WDIV Channel 4's "Super Singer" competition (1995). She has performed background for Rod Stewart (The Palace 1999) and worked alongside Alto Reed of "The Siver Bullet Band" ("Cool Breeze" album and live at Freedom Hill 1999). She has also performed with Motown's KEM and was named one of Detroit's top ten vocalists of 2004. This diva took it to another level as a national Hollywood finalist for season five of FOX 2's hit show, "American Idol" (2006). As one of the top 64, Lexxi was voted off for "having too much experience" after a flawless performance. Lexxi's captivating stage presence and sensuous multi-ethnic appeal landed her a lead role in the hip-hop film "Brewster Project" (2003), allowing her to sing, write, and work alongside notorious hip-hop artist Mr. Cheeks, Detroit's own Trick-Trick, and R&B songstress Regina Belle. Lexxi was brought back to her theatre roots when she was cast for several inspirational stage plays including "If These Hips Could Talk" and Michael Baisden's "Men Cry in the Dark". She toured the country and worked side by side with the legendary Billie Dee Williams as well as Richard Roundtree, Christopher Williams, Shirley Murdock, Tichina Arnold, Allen Payne, Monifah, Kel Mitchell, Rhona Bennett of En Vogue and many other national talents.
