Darren Bagert is a two-time Tony Award, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award winning producer. Darren produced the Tony Award winning musical Company by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth on Broadway and was Executive Producer for the televised PBS/Great Performance production. Darren produced the highly-acclaimed Tony Award nominated production of Sweeney Todd by Stephen Sondheim starring Patti LuPone and Michael Cerveris, and its North American tour. His producing work on Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey Into Night starring Vanessa Redgrave, Brian Dennehy, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Robert Sean Leonard, won him a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Play with Frozen starring Swoosie Kurtz, Brian O'Byrne and Laila Robins. He was a Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award winner for Gore Vidal's The Best Man starring Charles Durning, Chris Noth, Spalding Gray, Elizabeth Ashley, Michael Learned and Christine Ebersole. He helped Macaulay Culkin make his New York debut in Madame Melville opposite Joely Richardson. Darren enjoyed working with Matthew Broderick, Parker Posey, Joyce Van Patten and Jerry Adler in the production of Taller Than a Dwarf by Elaine May, directed by Alan Arkin. Born in New Orleans, he is a graduate of the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts and the Florida State University-School of Theatre. He is a member of the League of American Theatres and Producers and is also a member of The Player's Club.
