Mel Rodriguez is an award-winning writer/director of the indie dark comedy "In Stereo" starring Beau Garrett and Micah Hauptman. Originally from Texas, Rodriguez began working on independent films in Austin, Texas. In 2004, he edited the indie feature "Drop Dead Sexy", a dark comedy starring Jason Lee and Crispin Glover. More film editor work followed and culminated in a Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize win with the documentary "We Live in Public" in 2009. The following year, Rodriguez founded Insomniac Content, a digital creative agency where he began directing spots working with top agencies and for global brands such as Toyota, Google, Wells Fargo, American Express and more. Rodriguez is in development on his second feature, "Nasty Habits" a crime thriller set in his home region of Southwest Texas.
