Shawn Sheridan

Shawn Sheridan has been a prolific writer and producer of reality and documentary television for over two decades. He has served as Executive Producer for Reelz Channel's highly successful series BEVERLY HILLS PAWN, and as Co-Executive Producer on the gritty A&E true-crime show AKIL THE FUGITIVE HUNTER. As a producer Shawn has also worked on several seasons of the reality favorite WIFE SWAP for the Paramount Network, History Channel's cutting edge military documentary SECRET ACCESS: SUPERPOWER, and the hit paranormal series HAUNTED COLLECTOR for SYFY, as well as FRIGHT CLUB and GHOST BROTHERS for the Travel Channel. Other producing credits include such diverse programming as TLC's polygamy-themed SEEKING SISTER WIFE, VH1's "celeb-reality" show THE SURREAL LIFE, and TLC's harrowing intervention docu-series ADDICTED. Shawn has also been a major creative part of CBS's immensely successful BIG BROTHER, overseeing story and editing on five separate seasons. An avid film buff and memorabilia collector, Shawn Sheridan is an authority on the horror and science-fiction genres. Before venturing into reality TV storytelling, Shawn worked as a writer, consultant, and on-air reviewer for SCI-FI CHANNEL news and documentary programs such as SCI-FI BUZZ, SCI-FI ENTERTAINMENT, and MASTERS OF FANTASY. Shawn has contributed liner notes and audio commentaries for classic horror & sci-fi movie blu-ray releases, and can be heard demonstrating his cinematic expertise on the bi-weekly podcast MONSTER PARTY, where he is joined by fellow genre experts Matt Weinhold, Larry Strothe and James Gonis.
