Martin Greis (born October 9, 1980 in Brobyværk, Fyn, Danmark) is a Danish actor educated from the State Theater School in 2004. In 2000, he was one of the youngest ever attended the State Theater School together with Mille Dinesen and Beate Bille. He is known for his roles as Kaj Holger's grandson, Henrik, in DR's TV series Krøniken, Poul Andersen, the returning hotel wing, TV 2's Badehotellet and various roles in Danish films such as Steppeulven, April 9 and Mikkel Serup's boxing film The Best Man about Jørgen "Old" Hansen, in the role of Svend Gehrs. In addition, from several major roles at the Danish theater scene, he has embraced a broad repetition from Ludvig Holberg over Alan Bennett to Danish Christian Lollike. In 2007, he celebrated a great success in the demanding lead role of First Myschkin (Idiot) in the Idiot, after Dostoevsky's novel at Aarhus Theater staged by Rune David Grue. Greis has loaded several audio books for Lindhardt & Ringhoff, Rosinante and Gyldendal. Among others: Liberty by Jakob Ejersbo, Century Triology of Ken Follett, Fantasy Revival, a song about ice and fire by George R. R. Martin and Jonas T Bengtsson An Adventure. Along with his partner Katrine Greis-Rosenthal, he is a parent of two girls and a boy.
