Saeed Hamed

Saeed Hamed is a prominent film director working in the Egyptian film industry. With a career spanning 40 years and a filmography of 13 feature films and multiple Tv Shows and theatre productions, he has become a household name with movies that are quoted even 20 years after their release. With such classics like Sa'eedi fil gamaa el amrekeia (1998), Hamam fi Amsterdam (1999) and Short w Fenelah w Cap (2000) ,which won him the best director award at the Cairo International Film Festival. He also played an instrumental role in introducing new actors who later on become stars in the Egyptian industry, including but not limited to; Mohammed Henedy, Mona Zaki, Ahmed ElSekka and Yasmin AbdelAziz. Specializing in social comedies, Saeed Hamed has presented films and projects that aim at bringing the whole family together to have a good laugh. His latest contributions have been to the world of theatre, working prominent actor Ashraf Abdel Baki on broadcasting his popular theatre show Mashrah Masr. The show would ultimately be a great hit introducing a new generation of actors into the scene.
