Harvey Robbins is Tempest Storm's manager. He first saw her in 1957 when he skipped school to see a flaming redhead strip on the stage of The Old Howard in Boston. Fifty years later they met on the Bettie Page-Doo-Wopp Cruise. Harvey's group was singing. Tempest was in the audience. In poetic fashion he recalled to the audience that first meeting of the young boy who had never forgotten what he had seen. His group was singing, "You Send Me" and from the seats out of the darkness came two outstretched hands. There stood Tempest Storm. He uttered, "May I have this dance." Since that time Tempest has had her life recorded on vinyl by rock icon Jack White, made celebrity appearances at Burlesque Festivals in Iowa, Toronto, New York, Kansas City and Portland, Oregon, and also hosts her own Tempest Storm Las Vegas Burlesque Revue. She is on a speaker's bureau and seeks to land her "hot buns" pants line of clothing, a publisher for her book, "The Queen of Burlesque-Unzipped," and a TV reality show. Harvey is president/founder of the Doo-Wopp Hall Of Fame Of America, honoring the artists and vocal groups from the 1950's at Symphony Hall in Boston and has produced his Hall Of Fame concerts at The Venetian in Vegas, North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly, Mass., Foxwoods Casino, and other prestigious venues. He was an award-winning journalist while covering the Boston Celtics for many years before devoting himself full-time to lead a tenacious battle to save historic Prowse Farm outside of Boston from the clutches of corporate development and political ambition. He was the recipient of the Audubon A Award for activism on behalf of the living environment and authored two books, "Betrayal-Michael Dukakis and the Battle To Save Historic Prowse Farm" and "If You Elect Me President", while being called upon to expose the political betrayal during the failed presidential bid by Dukakis. Robbins is president of The Friends of Prowse Farm, co-curating the museum the citizen group has developed on the site, and hosting charitable events, such as the Avon Breast Cancer Walks, Susan Koman Walk For The Cure, The Life Is Good Festivals, and the annual pow-wow to honor Native American culture on the land. The charitable events have now raised in excess of $29 million.
