Jules has been working in the industry for the last twelve years, starting out in television and then moving across to film. In 2007 Jules joined Ealing Studios to work on the St Trinian's social media campaign. He then went on to assist director Stephan Elliott on the 2008 film Easy Virtue. In 2010 he was promoted to Creative Executive working alongside head of development Sophie Meyer and producer Barnaby Thompson. Jules has produced, directed and edited exclusive content for the St Trinian's 2 and Burke & Hare international home entertainment releases. In 2010 he handled the UK theatrical and DVD distribution of Julian Fellowes' (Downton Abbey) first feature From Time to Time starring Maggie Smith and Hugh Bonneville, which screened in over 100 independent cinemas across the UK. During his time at Ealing Studios, Jules worked with a variety of writers and directors including: Oliver Parker, Will Davies, Piers Ashworth, Nick Moorcroft, Jamie Minoprio, Jonathan Stern, Sheridan Jobbins and John Landis. He has also worked closely with UK distributors Entertainment, Pathé, Momentum and Lionsgate. In 2012 Jules left Ealing Studios to focus on Sweet As A Productions. He began by producing the London set sequences for Stephan Elliott's A Few Best Men starring Xavier Samuels, Kevin Bishop and Rebel Wilson and then went on to produce the acclaimed short Mourning Rules which was shortlisted for the Virgin Media Shorts Awards and the Reed Film Awards in 2012 starring Montserrat Lombard, Olivia Poulet and Joseph Milson. He also produced Battles, a music video and short film starring BAFTA Award Winner Sean Harris (Prometheus) in association with Susin Films, directed by Montserrat Lombard which was an official selection of the 2013 East End and Underwire Film Festivals. In 2013 Jules re-teamed with Lombard on the new music video short film Pagliaccio, which is the lead single from internationally acclaimed music artist Barbarossa's hit album Bloodlines, the video was heralded as The Guardian's pick of the week in an exclusive on-line premiere. Recently Jules collaborated with the award winning filmmaker Chris Cronin on the short 2:AM which was supported by the IdeasTap filmmakers fund and a successful crowd- funding campaign which will be released in 2015. He has also associate produced Leon Lopez's debut feature Softlad starring Johnny Labey and Daniel Brocklebank, slated for release in 2015. Sweet As A are also developing the original dance musical Out of Step supported by the BFI Development Fund. Jules is also a playwright and book writer, his newest show Broadway Nights was performed at the Ramona Bowl, California in September 2013. Before joining Ealing Studios, Jules worked as a freelance production assistant for Endemol, Channel 4, Princess Pictures, Brodie Films, Saatchi & Saatchi and directed and produced his first feature Breakfast Club: A Film for Cereal Daters which toured regional film festivals in 2006. He also works as a freelance documentary producer, editor, graphic designer and photographer.
