Pablo Montano was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Son of Rev. Jaime Montano V. and Edith Montano. He is the third child of six. He and his family used to perform Christian music in Bolivia as "The Montano Family" participating and winning first place at various festivals. Pablo Montano enjoyed playing sports, especially soccer and basketball. His passion has always been watching films. When a teenager he played the Cello and was a member of the "Cochabamba Symphonic Orchestra", "Youth Orchestra" and the "Laredo School's Orchestra". In 1984 he graduated from High School from the "Jaime Laredo School" (Instituto Jaime Laredo), a one-of-a-kind humanities and arts school in Bolivia. After quitting his university studies in Bolivia decided to start a new TV show targeting children. Without any experience on television presented his plan to the studio's director at Canal 13. His plan was accepted and he was incorporated as director-producer of "El Mundo de los Ninos" ("Children World"). The show was a big success in Cochabamba and started to air in two other cities in Bolivia (Sucre and Oruro). He decided to Direct/Produce a new TV show, called "El Club Infantil" ("Children Club") and his project was accepted by a second TV station in his city. It was then when he realized he wanted to work on TV and film. In 1990 decided to study television production in the United States and enrolled to Abraham Baldwin College in Tifton, Georgia. After two years graduated with an Associate Degree in Journalism and transferred to Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Theater and Television Production. After his studies he worked as Promotions Manager for a WB-Television station, and then as Promotions/Operations manager for a UPN-Television station. He now lives in Warsaw, Poland with Aneta, his wife, and their son. He manages Gooday, a film and video production company. Pablo Montano is very much involved with foundations and charity groups.
