Born Darren Bailey Stichtenoth (pronounced STICK-ten-ote), Darren dropped his last name during college, once he began working professionally as an actor. Darren holds a BA in Theatre from Miami University. Having an interest in film acting since he was a child, he joined a campus organization called M.A.F.I.A. (Miami Association of Filmmakers and Independent Artists), created by A.J. Rickert-Epstein. Darren moved to California in 2008 to pursue a career in acting. In 2010, he co-founded the martial arts production team Thousand Pounds Action Company with Vonzell Carter and Christopher Clark Cowan. The company garnered viral success through YouTube, particularly with their Street Fighter and Naruto-based videos, before disbanding in 2012. Darren also frequently works as a stunt performer, fight choreographer, stunt coordinator, and motion/performance capture artist.
