Helene Taylor lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She worked in the film industry in New York for fifteen years. Helene hosted a small local cable environmental program in the 90's after college. She started by writing little funny anecdotes about recycling and the PSA's started to run more frequently on the local cable stations. She won a Canadian Television Award, Producer for her small project and it ran for two seasons. She received an acting scholarship and studied at Carousel Theatre, Simon Fraser University (Communications), Vancouver's William Davis Centre and Capilano College's Film Production Program and soon became involved in the local film and television scene. Helene moved to New York in 2002. She worked the first Tribeca Film Festival after 9/11 under the guise of Sharon Badal. Jobs ranged from script reader, researcher, PSA writer to starring in over 30 independent films, Helene boasts she has a film credit in every NYU Film grad's thesis project between 2002-2008. She worked in film and television behind and in front of the camera. She graduated LAByrinth Theater Company's Master Program (co-artistic director Philip Seymour Hoffman) in 2004 sharpening her playwright skills with teachers such as George C. Wolfe, Jose Rivera, David Lee. Alumni of Atlantic Theater Company Acting School. The Atlantic was founded by David Mamet and William H. Macy. Student of Second City and Upright Citizen's Brigade. Her work behind the scenes as the stand-in for TV series Nurse Jackie (Edie Falco), Prime Suspect (Maria Bello), Win-Win (Amy Ryan) and reader for ABC Studios. She studies and is mentored at Gotham Writers workshop. She's worked alongside Neil LaBute and Ed Harris as the daughter of Ed Harris' character in LaBute's play "Wrecks".
