Tim B. Toidze is an award-winning filmmaker, best known for his historical documentaries & TV dramas. Tim's "Khrushchev Does America" - the surreal story of the Soviet leader's trip to the United States at the height of the Cold War - has aired in more than 30 countries and was also acquired by PBS for "American Experience" series. "Khrushchev Does America" was an official selection at "Hot Docs 2014" as well as other festivals all over the world. It has won numerous awards including Best Historical Film at "Figra 2014" (France), Use of Historical Archives Award at "Impact Media 2014" (Italy) and "Special Commendation Award" at "Prix Europa 2013" (Germany). The film was produced by ARTE (France), Point Du Jour (France), Robert Stone Productions (USA) and Tim's own company "Sundial Entertainment Inc." (Canada). Short bio: Tim was born in Moscow where he started working as an assistant editor at the tender age of 13. In 1994 he moved to England, where he studied Media at "Greenhill College" while working as a researcher for "Channel 4" and "BBC". In 1996 he moved to Canada and after establishing himself as an editor, researcher and production manager on numerous projects for "The History channel", Tim got into directing and producing. Today, behind his belt, Tim has 15 documentary films as a director and more than 20 projects as a producer.
