Lucky comes from a background of communications and technology, in the fields of hospital administration and film, television, music & photographic production Lucky is an award-winning television and film producer. He is also an experienced Director, Director of Photography and Editor. He has produced, directed and owned over 35 years of television and feature films. His award winning television show, MuscleSport USA was seen nationwide for fifteen years including Fox Sports Net for nearly a decade. Lucky filmed three scenes on Presumed Innocent, starring Harrison Ford and directed by Alan Pakula. He was the cinematographer on the 2 hour documentary featuring film director Otto Preminger entitled "Preminger: Anatomy of a Filmmaker". Lucky has also worked with Bernardo Bertolucci, Peter Bogdonovich and Sidney Lumet. He has a feature film about to be released, "A Woman's Obsession" which he produced and is re-scoring for release. He has shot numerous TV commercials including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Wells Fargo, Budweiser, Champion Nutrition, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and many others. Lucky's work in the field of music videos reached worldwide recognition raising social awareness regarding the South Africa apartheid disgrace, in 1985, including the 2x Grammy nominated music video "Sun City - Artists Against Apartheid" written and performed by Little Steven, along with performances by Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bono, Peter Gabriel, Ringo Starr, Jackson Browne, Hall & Oates, The Temptations and over 40 other stars. It was directed by Academy Award winner Jonathan Demme. The United Nations also bestowed several awards for "Sun City" including a Humanitarian award. He helped Little Steven Van Zandt, Hart Perry, Danny Schecter, Paul Allen and others film and produce the anti-apartheid music video "Sun City" by Artists United Against Apartheid, later honored by the United Nations Special Committee against Apartheid for "high valuable contribution to the international campaign for the elimination of apartheid and the establishment of a non-racial and democratic society in South Africa. Lucky has been a volunteer for the blind in grade school, the mentally challenged at Creedmor State Hospital during high school, as well as working in the Emergency Room at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, followed by a career after graduating Queens College with a BA degree in Mass Communications - TV & Film. Furthering his education in hospital administration he attended the Graduate School division at New York University for Hospital Administration, needing 1 more course to complete his Masters Degree. He chose a different path at that point - and went on to live abroad in Israel for 1 year in Biblical Research as well as photography and music. Lucky is currently a film and award-winning TV producer, director, editor and financier for feature films and television programs. He has directed and produced, written music and edited films and documentaries for legends of Hollywood including "Anatomy of a Filmmaker - Otto Preminger". Lucky has worked with Bob Hope, Jimmy Stewart, Carol Lynnely, Deborah Kerr, George C. Scott, Peter Bogdonovich As a former COO of Doorish Opthamalic Inc., in the highly competitive field of Medical Technology, he secured funding to aid the efforts of Dr. Doorish, who invented an eye-chip technology to restore sight to animals and humans who have had sight at some point and lost it, to bring it to the global community. Johnson and Johnson, IBM, Cornell University, Columbia University, New York Eye and Ear and a former head of the FDA are endorsing and working together to make this happen. Broadway called out to partner up with the Drama Desk Awards for the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards, televised for the first time on the Ovation Network. As a Board of Directors member of Toys of Hope Children's Charity, Lucky is responsible for the joint cooperation between the Drama Desk Awards' charity Eightonal Coalition and Toys of Hope to foster the growth of young artists, musicians and dancers to reach the stages of Broadway.
