Lis Anna is a 2011 Pushcart Prize nominee and the recipient of many awards including; a five time WorldFest winner, FadeIn, Telluride IndieFest winner, Helene Wurlitzer Grant recipient, Chesterfield Film Project Finalist, New Century Writers winner and a finalist in the prestigious William Faulkner Competition. Her short films, screenplays, and novels have all been nominated and subsequently won awards including Best Novel and Best Short Film. She was awarded a quarter-finalist in the International Screenplay Awards, semi-finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, a quarter finalist in the Writers Network screenplay competition and First Place in The American Accolades Screenwriting Competition. Her films have screened at Cannes Film Festival 2006\\\\2007, Tupelo Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival, the Action on Film Festival, and The Atlanta Underground, Route 66 Film Festival, Appalachian Film Festival, Great Lake Film Fest and a winner at the Keokuk International Film Festival and the Twin Rivers Media Festival, the Almost Famous Film Festival, the International Film Festival of Naples, The Accolades Film Competition and the prestigious International Film Festival of England and the International Film Festival of Egypt 2008. She is the Second Place Winner of the Thomas Wolfe Fiction Award 2006, the Fourth Place New Century Writers Short Fiction Winner and Second Place Winner Best Dramatic Short Tupelo Film Festival 2006. In 2006 Lis Anna received First Place in the 11th Annual Poet Hunt Award. Lis Anna is a four time Accolade Film Competition winner including a Best in Show and Award of Excellence winner, a 2007 Screenplay Festival winner and a 2007 Bronze Remi winner at Worldfest. She is the 2008 nominated Best Short Film at the International Film Festival of England for her films "Prometheus" and "The Johns". She is the 2008 Twin Rivers Media Festival winner for "Prometheus". Lis Anna is a 2007 finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, a finalist in the Doris Betts Fiction Award and the Indie Short Films Festival. She is the 2011 Readers Choice Award recipient from Fiction Fix and the Second Place 2011 Winner of the Hint Fiction Contest. Two films written-directed-produced by Lis Anna are screening at the Short Film Market - Cannes 2005 - 2006. Her screenplay "Bankers" is an International Screenwriting Awards - 2005 Quarter-Finalist, a Semi-Finalist in the Nicholl Fellowships, a semi finalist in the American Zoetrope Screenwriting Contest and proud to be the First Place Winner of the American Accolades Screenplay Competiton 2005. Her latest film is currently in production to be shot on location.
