Marcus Stiglegger

Marcus Stiglegger, PhD, works as a professor for film studies at the universities of Mainz (Ger), Regensburg (Ger), Klagenfurt (Autria), the film academy Ludwigsburg (Ger) and the IPU Berlin (Ger). From 2015-2020 he was vice president of Dekra media school Berlin (Ger). He published many books and media articles on film and pop culture. His first English language publication is the book 'Cruising' (Liverpool University Pess 2020), written together with Eugenio Ercolani. In 2002 Stiglegger founded an art-magazine called Ikonen. In his book 'Ritual & Verfuehrung' (Berlin 2006) he established the seduction theory of film. Stiglegger also has produced and written complementary materials for over 100 films on Bluray on German and international labels. He composes film music with his bands Vortex and Mars.
