Dax McKeever

Dax McKeever was born in Tallahassee, Florida, where his father, Daniel A. McKeever, Jr., served as assistant D.A. to prosecute the infamous serial killer Ted Bundy during the late 70s, early 1980s. With stage theater roots from University of Alabama Birmingham, this redhead, redneck actor would greatly enjoy performing as role Lenny in a remake Of Mice And Men [a role made famous by legendary actor John Malkovich]; and is also a fan of films such as Mississippi Burning or Hoosiers, both starring Gene Hackman, based on John Grisham's novel A Time To Kill starring Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock and Samuel L. Jackson. Or being an Irish Scotsman American patriot with the McKeever name, Dax can be cast in films like Braveheart, Mad Max, Dances With Wolves, Robin Hood, Hunt For Red October, The Presidio, Dragon Heart, The Road, Shawshank Redemption, and In The Valley of Elah, Traffic, We Were Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan. Currently preparing in South Florida for stage theater audition as role Austin in True West by playwright/actor Sam Shepard. McKeever's film credits include Princess Diaries 2, directed by Garry Marshall, starring Julie Andrews, which was a role uncredited as Royalty Wedding Guest; Lords of Dogtown, with director Catherine Hardwicke, starring the late Heath Ledger; Heart of the Beholder, with director Ken Tipton; and Wannabe, directed by Richard Keith, in a role entitled RainMan, which is comparable to Dustin Hoffman's award-winning performance. McKeever's background includes temporary, intensive military training in the branch of US Navy in Great Lakes, Illinois , in the winter of year 2000. Additional training in theatrical performances at Lee Strassberg Institute in W. Hollywood, California, usa, plus Stunt Film Academy in Queensland, Australia under direction of Colin Handley, as well as Physical Theatre (stage combat) in London, England. In 2006 Dax completed his undergraduate study with a degree in Theatre Performing Arts at UAB. He also traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he absorbed spanish lingua (tongue), trained in Meissner, clown, & Broadway theatre, and was invited to attend The 2006 Tony Awards equivalency in Argentina; called Los Premios Maria Guerrera. McKeever's life has been interpreted in the film Regarding Henry (1991), written by J.J. Abrams, starring Harrison Ford, Annette Benning, in which a severe head injury caused temporary comatose. Yes, Dax's cranium-the external layer of the skull-was fractured leaving him in a coma at young age with a bruise to the frontal left cortex of the brain. After awakening-from coma-Dax was forced to overcome short-term memory loss, long-term memory loss, as well as 're-learn' basic motor functions such as learning to walk (again), and learning to talk (again). As he recalls, Dax's brain eventually re-learned basic A-B-C's, 1-2-3's, and -in due time-proved UAB medical personnel to have falser preconceived notions as Dax was able to regain consciousness . After months of outpatient/inpatient hospital rehabilitation, he returned to his collegiate studies at UAB. The first course he registered for was an Introductory to Acting 101 class. Always determined to succeed by the road less traveled McKeever's story is in development to become a film, tv, and possibly stage adaptation of a true story. Regarding Henry, also a true story, was produced prior to McKeever's miraculous recovery. Also a competitive 26.2 mile Marathon Runner (Los Angeles , San Fran cisco, San Diego, Orange County, + Buenos Aires marathons), and Malibu Nautica Triathlon + South Beach Miami Triathlon, which consisted of 0.5mi swim-18mi bike-4mi run, in 2005 McKeever was cast via NIKE: Chariots of Fire television/internet commercial advertisement. Recently returned from Europe where he met with Orianne Collins-wife of Phil Collins-in Zurich, Switzerland, after (BST) British Summer Time Concert in Hyde Park on June 30, 2017, on the way to enjoy vacation in Milano, Italia y Napoli, Italia July 1-5, 2017. In his childhood, Dax saw the film Willow [1988], starring Kilmer, Whalley, & Warwick Davies; music composed by the late James Horner, whose award-winning credits include Titanic, Braveheart, Avatar, & Legends of the Fall. Other acquaintances whom Dax has met include Paul Haggis [credits: Crash, Million Dollar Baby], Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu [credits: The Revenant, 21 Grams, Babel], Sam Mendes [credits: Road To Perdition], Guy Ritchie [Credits: The Guy from U.N.C.L.E.], Frank Darabont [Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile], Tim Robbins [Bull Durham, Mystic River], Don Cheadle [Hotel Rwanda, Miles Davis], Gael Garcia Bernal [Mozart in the Jungle], Sandra Bullock, Jeremy Renner, Milla Jovovich, others. Dax is currently-as of September 2017-auditioning for stage & film in New England, Atlanta, y Miami, Florida. Perhaps we will meet at www.AFI.com in Los Angeles in November 2017? McKeever has no conflicting contracts nor agreements that would hinder him from relocating, traveling, and/or auditioning for yet-to-be determined casting calls. He attended Miami Film Festival in March 2018, and will volunteer at Miami Web Fest in April 2018 thanks to his friend Laverne Daley. The ethics of Benedictus de Espinoza reads-in Latin-sed omnia praeclara tam dificilia quam rara sunt. Translation meaning, "But everything great is just as difficult to realize as it is rare to find." Or Dax can translate his limited french-je suis optimis-meaning, "I am optimistic". Dax is currently studying Russian to speak + comprehend.
