John Trapani was born and raised in New Jersey. He aspired to be a baseball player until the age of 17 when he jumped 6 stories down a laundry chute on a dare, and fractured his right heel bone. So he changed his curriculum from college prep to business, and became a corporate accountant, working for two Fortune 100 companies for 18 years. Bored and restless, he went to New York and studied acting with Uta Hagen, and others. He immediately began his craft in the theater playing a variety of characters in dramas, comedies, and a few musicals. He moved to Florida in 1993 to play the lead role, and also produce and direct an internationally acclaimed interactive murder mystery. He began his work in films in 2000 and has been cast in a variety of shorts, features and television shows.
