Maureen Mountcastle

Maureen is a Jersey Girl gone southern. She grew up in Monmouth Beach NJ where she got her start in theater as a teenager. She attended Kent School in Kent CT before becoming a Tarheel .She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1987 with a BA in Dramatic Art. She transitioned from stage to Film/TV when the film business started picking up in NC in the early 2000's. She has produced 2 films a feature length called TrainWreck written and directed by Valley Girl's Andy Lane and starring R Keith Harris opposite Maureen. The short film she produced "Suit Yourself" was presented at the Durango Film Festival ,the Cape Fear Film Festival and the Kent Film Festival . You can see Maureen as Janet Reno's secretary opposite Jane Lynch in Manhunt :Unabomber and Mrs Hoover in the Gifted. You may also recognize her from those funny Mellow Mushroom commercials if you're an ACC football/basketball fan. Maureen is in development for a show called "Oriental" based on her mysterious hometown Oriental NC. Maureen is determined to help ring film work back to NC!
