Maurise Maclou was born in South Africa, grew up in Australia before making a home in the USA for over a decade, she now resides in Australia. Her career in the entertainment industry began as a child performer, dancing and singing on various national television shows throughout Australia. Maurise trained briefly at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She has also trained with the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA, Summer Series).
