Ben Hanfling

Ben Hanfling lives in Los Angeles where he performs as an actor and improviser. He began acting at an early age in Washington D.C, starring in such unforgettable plays as "Tall Tom Jefferson" in elementary school. Ben continued acting through high school and college and received a degree in Theatre from Washington University in St Louis. Deciding to switch gears completely from the cerebral and creative pursuits of college, Ben moved to Central Oregon to pursue the coveted career of snowboard bum. Like the rocks buried under multiple feet of fresh powder, Ben's acting pursuits were forgotten. After getting burned on the lifestyle of pizza delivery, greens keeping and small town simplicity, Ben returned to the city life by moving to San Francisco in August 1999. After two years of various corporate jobs and even more varied frustrations that something was missing, Ben happened upon an ad on craigslist.com looking for actors. Like a long overdue smack in the head, Ben remembered the love he had felt for acting and decided to audition. After booking the job for a small role in an indie film, Ben was hooked again and jumped full force into the San Francisco acting community. After a few years in SF, Ben decided to move to LA to pursue his passion full time. He is continually striving to improve his craft and always enjoys the process of acting. In his spare time, he pursues his other passion, poker, which gives him the money and flexibility necessary to focus the rest of his energy on his acting.
