Cynthia Utterbach, jazz artist-actress-writer and educator from Los Angeles is based in Savannah Georgia and has enjoyed a-ten year tenure in Europe performing for festivals, clubs, radio and television including performing and writing music for internationally released film "Rosenstrasse" (Golden Globe Award 2002). Following six years with the Hamburg musical, The Buddy Holly Story, Cynthia began her solo performing tribute concerts - Lady Legends, Sarah Sings, The Gershwin's, The Close Your Eyes Jazz Family, Three Ladies of the Blues, Voices of Praise, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill and Bessie & Billie - performing throughout the European community. As a writer and jazz storyteller, Cynthia also includes her original songs from gospel to soul in her performances along with her special adaptations of the great jazz standards. Cynthia has been touring Asia for the last five years and is now extending her vocal jazz and storytelling style to the world. Cynthia has recorded several CDs: Close Your Eyes, A Tribute to Louis Armstrong with the Hamburg Police Orchestra, Comes Love, 'Live' in Bangkok - and is always working on a new jazz release.
