She studied journalism and political science. Her journalistic career began in the written press and, at the age of 23, Glamour magazine offered her the position of director of the society section and, later, of the culture section. As a writer, in 2007 she published her first novel, La Fabrication d'un mensonge, which deals with the theme of marriage. A year later, she participated in the collective book 11 femmes. In 2013, the book How to be Parisian wherever you are was published, co-edited with Anne Berest, Caroline de Maigret and Sophie Mas. In 2008, she began her work as a screenwriter and, in 2019, she made her directorial debut with the film Mais vous êtes fous, which again explores relationships, the breakdown of trust and addiction. Her second film The Event, an adaptation of Annie Ernaux's autobiographical novel dealing with clandestine abortion in the 1960s, won her the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. She is also a member of the French NGO Collectif 50/50, which works for equality between women and men in the film industry.
