Christian Olde Wolbers is originally from Belgium. He came to America in 1993 and Bobby Hambel of Biohazard introduced him to Burton C Bell of Fear Factory at a party at one point. At the time, Fear Factory was looking for a bassist so he joined. He later recorded Fear Factory most loved album by hardcore FF fans, Demanufacture in 1995. For the next 6 years he stayed with Fear Factory, recorded the cds Obsolete and Digimortal with them, and did some work with Rap-Metal group Cypress Hill on the side. Then in 2001, during a rehearsal, Burton of FF came in to announce that he quit because of personality differences with Founding member and guitarist, Dino Cazares. And they were singerless. While recording 2-3 songs for the video game "Terminator: Dawn Fate," Christian and Raymond Herrera, other founding member and drummer, starting noticing the differences with Dino. They soon split as well. And Fear Factory was no more...for about a year. Then in 2003, Fear Factory decided to get back together minus Dino Cazares with Raymond on drums, Burton on vocals, and Christian on guitar (which was his first instrument before the bass.) Then as a 3 piece they recorded Fear Factory's latest album, Archetype. This CD was hailed to be one of Fear Factorys best. When they had to tour they had to find a bassist. They got Byron of Strapping Young Lad to fill the slot. That is where they are today.
