Lena Svedberg born on April 26, 1946 in Gothenburg, Sweden as Aina-Lena Bernice Svedberg. She was an actress, artist and writer. Lena Svedberg grew up in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia where her father served as financial advisor to the emperor Haile Selassie. Returning to Sweden Lena was accepted at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. As an artist she often worked in a very large format, grotesque, satirical images with a throng of figures and with a deep and radical density. She was deeply involved in the unique anarchist underground magazine PUSS, together with Lars Hillersberg, Carl Johan De Geer and Karin Frostenson, among others. Lena Svedberg's lifestyle was dissolute and fast paced. She committed suicide at 26 in 1972.
