Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Jarod discovered his passion for acting during his high school years, performing on stage both academically and semi-professionally throughout the Midwest. After high school, Jarod decided to pursue his passion for acting at Ohio University's School of Theater, studying fervently alongside such fellow alumni as Piper Perabo, Brandy Burre, and Scott Terry of the band Red Wanting Blue. During the four years he was earning his B.A., Jarod performed in a record 13 productions, almost unheard of as an undergrad student. Jarod's heroes had always been of the big screen, and with his new-found craft and finely-honed talents, he moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to pursue a career in acting. Not long after arriving, Jarod attracted the attention of director Jonathan Lawrence, who cast him in the feature film, The Family Mancuso. In "Mancuso", Jarod played the buffoonish best friend, Benny, and the film garnered official selection at The Big Bear Lake Film Festival. With the success of "Mancuso", Jarod began to book such television shows as " Providence", "That 80s Show" and "The O.C." Soon after, Jarod met director Gerald Nott, with whom he often collaborates, including on the cult horror hit, The Quick and The Undead. Additionally, Jarod frequently works with up-and-coming directors Sila Agavale and Joshua D. Smith, most notably as Detective Greg Brennen in the action film, RUSH....
