George's origin story begins in Houston, Texas during the 80's and 90's, where he developed musical powers as a result of a childhood of exposure to Saturday morning cartoons, superhero comics, movies about aliens, monsters, mutants, time travel, action heroes and Jedi. The melodies of John Williams, Alan Menken, and Alan Silvestri, along with a big imagination inspired his early forays into composing tunes for storytelling. George is currently (2021) scoring an upcoming TV series from DreamWorks Animation. George's range of work also covers 17 feature film credits, custom music for trailers, over 60 short films, and video games. George's latest feature is Baby Steps, produced by Oscar-nominated Li-Kong Hsu, producer of Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and recently completed work on an animated feature. YouTube videos featuring George's music have amassed over 300 million views. George worked with Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, to pen the song "Ode to Geeks," celebrating Lee's Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Geekie Awards, which George music directed from 2013-2015. He also scored YouTube Original's longest running show Escape The Night, Wil Wheaton's Tabletop For Geek & Sundry, and created the viral hit Star Wars Musical which has nearly half a million views. George studied composition and film scoring at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. An avid orchestral conductor, he studied conducting at the BMI Conducting Workshop, and the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive. His composer mentors include Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, Frozen) and Christopher Lennertz (The Boy, Pitch Perfect 3). George was selected to the Universal Composers Initiative in 2018, the first Hollywood studio program to nurture diverse voices in composing, and included mentorship with Universal Film Music and DreamWorks Animation executives. George actively advocates for the need for diverse voices in composing through his work on the Composers Diversity Collective Executive Committee. George plays clarinet, piano, guitar and picked up Chinese woodwind instruments after studying Chinese music. He resides in Los Angeles, where he survived the pandemic by composing for animation, developing musicals, and training to become a Jedi Master at Beat Saber. His plans for world domination include earning an EGOT, becoming more famous than Irish-playwright George Bernard Shaw, and perfecting time travel.
