Mark Soldinger is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with a successful career spanning over 20 years, having produced and directed over 40 documentaries. In 2003, Mark founded Firecracker Films (a British production company) responsible for some of the most talked about TV during the last decade. This included the visually stunning The Human Spider, Nat Geo's America's Fugitive Family and the C4's highest rated smash hit, Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, a series that was watched by over 10 Million viewers, leading to a US version of the show that generated 5 seasons for TLC. In July 2009, Mark opened Firecracker's first US office in Los Angeles; a move that saw the company expand to over 150 employees on both sides of the Atlantic. Following Firecracker's UK and US success, the company received a multi-million dollar valuation in 2012. Mark decided to sell Firecracker to Welsh-based company Tinopolis, eventually resigning as Firecracker CEO in 2014 to pursue his own passion projects. Mark resides in Los Angeles.
