Seigmen were formed as Klisne Seigmenn autumn 1989 by Alex Møklebust and Sverre Økshoff. They went by the name Klisne Seigmenn for a short period, but chose to shorten the name a bit before releasing the debut album. Klisne Seigmenn did their first gig ever with only Alex and Sverre as members on a Christmas rock festival in Tønsberg in 1989 (27/12). Alex and Sverre hook up on a party and Sverre decided that he wanted to be really good in playing guitar. He joined the band only two days before the first concert took place. Both the future guitarist Marius Roth and the future programmer and producer Erik Ljunggren attended the gig. Kim Ljung just walked by once they were practicing on U-båtkaia (the submarine wharf). He took the bass guitar, and a year later Marius joined on guitars.
