Graduated from the National Film and TV School NFTS (UK), where she completed the program in Cinematography. She holds a B.A. in Social Communication from UCAB Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela and an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from CSUN California State University Northridge. Her documentary “Envenenando a Kuyuhani” was recognized as Best Andean Documentary at the French-Andean Documenta 2017 competition. “Cunaro” won La Navaja de Buñuel from the SGAE, Best Short Film at the Chicago Latino FF, and at the Rencontres du Cinema Suramericaine. It was also chosen as Top Ten at the Curta Kinoforum Brasil. His short film “La Uva” is part of the Top Ten at AXN FF and was also screened at Mostra de São Paulo. “La Tranca”, a feature documentary, was selected at FICCI and IDFA Docs for Sale. She is also the cinematographer of the feature films “Azul y No Tan Rosa” GOYA for Best Ibero-American Film, “Yo soy el otro” Official Selection Outfest Los Angeles, “El Inca”, “3 Bellezas” and “Pequeñas Historias”, all awarded as Best Film at the Venezuelan National Film Festival where the film “Dirección Opuesta” and “La Noche de las Dos Lunas”, won the award for Best Cinematography in 2019 and 2021. “Mi Tía Gilma”, her debut feature, tells the story of Isabel, a 13-year-old teenager who takes charge of taking care of her aunt in the hospital and keeping her alive after being beaten by her partner.
