Eun Hee Ihm

She was born in Republic of Korea in 1972 and she graduated with major in Buddhism at Dongkuk University in Seoul. She has residence in Mexico City from 1997 and in 2007 she was graduated with honors at one of Mexico's major film schools (Centro de Capacitacion Cinematografica), majored in film direction. In all of her films, the scripts have been written by herself as well as the direction, editing, sound design and sometimes including photography and composition of original music. "Ser isla" was awarded in Mexican Academy Award (2007) and it received FIPRESCI prize for the best Mexican feature film in FICCO (2007), Grand Prix in International Documentary Film Festival anuu-ru aboro (2008, New Caledonia, France) and Special Jury Mention in Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montreal (2007). "Destapalo" was nominated for the best short fiction film in Mexican Academy Award (2008) and it received Special Jury Mention in Short Shorts Film Festival (2008, Tokyo-Mexico). "Una receta roja para cocinar crustaceos" was awarded Special Jury Mention in Imaginary Film Festival (2008, Italy). All of her films have been selected in many festivals all over the world including London Film Festival (2007, "Una receta roja para cocinar crustaceos") and Montreal World Film Festival (2004, "Oscilacion").
