Ida Grøn

Ida Gron is born on a crossroad of artists, farmers and academics in the countryside of Denmark. Gron's documentaries have been broadcasted primetime on main TV-stations nationally and worldwide, among others on DR1, DR2, TV2, Arte and AL Jazeera English. Her latest creative feature documentary "Stay Behind - My Grandfather's Secret War" gained national attention with the untold story of a CIA spy network of civilians during the Cold War in Denmark. Her mid-length documentary "The Kid and the Clown" was shown at some of the greatest documentary film festivals in the world, among others IDFA, Hot Docs, Krakow and Al Jazeera and won 5 international awards in (2012/2013). Gron is the co-founder of the Danish artist/curator group Tagging Art through which she exhibited her video art on the Danish National Gallery (2008). She is educated documentary director from the acclaimed National Film and Television School in England, under The Royal College of Art. She also holds a BA in Art History from the University of Copenhagen.
