Louisiana native Zack Godshall is a writer and director known for Low and Behold (2007), made in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and Lord Byron (2011), made with a cast of untrained actors in South Louisiana. Both films premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and were praised by The Atlantic and The New York Times, respectively. His documentaries celebrate unsung people and places that exist along the fringes of culture, and they have been featured on Time, Topic, and The Documentary Channel.
