David Aufdembrinke

David Michael Aufdembrinke was born in Hamburg, Germany, in December 1985. After getting in touch with Computers and the Internet at an early age, he became a Multimedia-Designer and Consultant at the age of thirteen, this way developing his skills in dealing with most kinds of visual arts. Most impressed by directors Spielberg and Tarantino he dreamed of becoming a director himself for a long time. So after becoming acquainted with the theater he wrote and developed some short films and finally made his first practical attempt with the movie Up in Smoke (2005), produced for an entire budget of approximately 90 Eur (106 US$). The movie was unexpectedly scheduled in some Hamburg cinemas for summer 2005 (e.g. the ABATON-Cinema) and is now sold on DVD. Afterwards Aufdembrinke went back in designing Advertisement and Websites while alongside writing the screenplay for his second feature movie, focusing on the treatment of youths and growing up in todays Germany.
