Sean McBride is known for his work on Australian Survivor (2002), Gargantua (1998), Ha-Gamal Hame'ofef (1994)and Rise (2014). He has been married to Misao (Japanese) since August 8, 2008 and has a daughter from a previous relationship. He has a Anthropology degree from the University of Queensland and is a recognized expert in Aboriginal ethno-ecology, having taught survival skills for 22 years through his own survival school in Australia, and internationally for the general public, outdoor guides, foreign military and Australian Special Forces. Sean is a former Green Beret commando and Australian Army officer. In 2001 John was asked to be the survival consultant for Channel Nine's Australian Survivor. He was also the Games and Challenges designer for the show. In 2004, under the pseudonym of John Curtis, he went to Thailand to rescue children from prostitution and trafficking. He then set up The Grey Man organization to continue that work serving as its president till 2012. His organization rescued over 170 women and children from trafficking and prevented the trafficking of an estimated 600 more. He continues to work behind the scenes in this field and two documentaries have been produced about his work as well as a book 'The Grey Man: My undercover war against the child sex trade in Asia'. He stepped down as president of The Grey man in 2012 and in 2013 was ordained as a Zen Buddhist monk. He divides his time between acting and studying Tong Long Kungfu.
