Cliff was born and raised on a small family farm in Pennsylvania. He started riding and training horses at the age of 12. After receiving an Associates Degree from College he entered the US Air Force and served in Vietnam as an aircraft analyzer. Cliff enhanced his karate abilities while in Vietnam. He returned home and started working on the family farm and training horses for Civil War Re-enacting. Cliff also taught riding. He began a Civil War Re-enactment Cavalry unit and worked his way up to a Field Commander in the re-enactment community. It was while commanding the field at the Battle of Gettysburg re-enactment that he and his son, Colt were spotted and asked to audition for the movie, "The Patriot". Cliff and his son were chosen to be in the militia unit riding with Mel Gibson. After the movie, he was chosen to be the wrangler and riding instructor for the Civil War Combat Series. This was produced by Greystone and shown on the History Channel. He also re-enacted in several of the episodes from a private to a general. He is currently wrangling on another period film in Maryland. When he is not working with horses, Cliff is a security guard. He is married with 2 grown children and resides in Harrisburg Pennsylvania.
