Rory Singer

Rory Michael Singer was born in Brooklyn, NY (USA). In his formative years he was raised in Marlboro, NJ before moving to Athens, GA to attend the University of Georgia. He graduated with a degree in Biological Engineering (Biomedical Emphasis). The second child of Marsha Mantykow (formerly Singer), Rory went on to star on Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter Season 3. He subsequently went 2-2 (12-9 as a professional) in the UFC and holds the record (at the time of this entry January 2020) for fastest submission (triangle choked Ross Pointon in 44 secs) in the UFC's Middleweight division. A third degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Rory is also know for being the coach and training partner to Forrest Griffin (former UFC Light Heavyweight World Champion). Rory (along with his brother Adam Singer) have trained numerous fighters including former Bantamweight World Champion, Brian Bowles. Rory owns SBG Athens, in Athens, GA where he coaches children as young as 3 to adults in their 60s. He coaches BJJ, Mixed Martial Arts, Self Defense, Boxing, Wrestling, and Group Fitness. He is happily married with two wonderful children.
