Stewart Engesser is an award-winning writer, producer, actor, director and musician. in 2003 he wrote, directed and co-starred in the prize-winning mockumentary The Cloggers of Putneyville (Winner, Best First Work, Telluride Mountainfilm), for which he also wrote the score and acted as Executive Producer. In 2004, he wrote and appeared in the short film, Wax Romantic (Winner, Best Film: San Francisco, 48 Hour Film Festival), and began working as a senior writer and segment producer for Unscrewed with Martin Sargent, a late night comedy talk show about fringe internet culture and technology that aired on TechTV (now G4TechTV). In addition to writing and producing, Mr. Engesser appeared nunmerous times on-air, playing numerous hilariously odd-ball characters, including Martin's Angry Robot, The Open Road, Big Missy the Truck Stop Drifter, the Ghost of George C. Scott, Al Pacino, Johnson Gage: Unemployed Archeologist, Randy the Gamer, The Web Master, Jimmy the Hoof, Haley Joel Osment, Rory Calhoun: Australian Ghost Hunter, and the most popular character of all, Michael Caine. Mr. Engesser is also a musician, and his band, The White Mahatma have recently released their first album, The Sonoramic Commando, on Silver Buick Records.
