Shawn Conrad

Date of birth : 11/30/1968
City of birth : Brooklyn, New York, USA

Shawn Conrad's talents began as an artist in elementary school. The kid who was able to draw anything he looked at, graduated with a degree in Art & Advertising Design in 1991. He has been known to do whatever he is into at the time, very well! The list is as follows. He was a Roller Hockey wizard, winning every possible award from pee-wee league up through junior league. As "Magic", he won a rolling skating dance championship at United Skates of America in Brooklyn New York. He was recruited into the Fancy Wheelers and then the Star Light Rollers (who appeared in a Glady's Night video in the 80s). Shawn was known as a top roller skating dancer throughout New York's five boroughs. He was performing skate board and bicycle tricks years before X Games appeared on television. He would stand on his bike "feet only" for blocks at a time, peddle with his hands and wheelie'd for 30 plus blocks, straight! Shawn became the new pop-locking break-dancer whiz that made it to the final auditions of the movie Beat Street and personally witnessed the Hip Hop & Break-Dancing explosion at New York clubs like Roxy and Roseland. Shawn took 5th place in the 19 year old NPC Body Building championship and later on became an advanced martial artist in Tae Kwon Do, winning tournaments against Black Belt level opponents. In 1989 he won the New Music Seminar's "Battle for World Supremacy" Rap contest. Crowned as the world champion rapper, Shawn toured with Ice Cube, Kid Rock and others. He appeared on MTV and BET several times under the name "Freshco". As Freshco (see freshcoandmiz dot com), Shawn even rapped with The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z after being on Tommy Boy Records from 1989-1991. He was an original Roc-a-fella member. Shawn won the City Wide Doubles Handball (1-Wall) Championship in 2001 * New York. He enjoyed getting back into handball after years of displaying a slick long range jump-shot and handling skills in Basketball throughout the playgrounds of New York (search "youtube"). Briefly attending The Academy of Dramatic arts in 1995, Shawn was the lead actor in a Red Bull TV commercial. In the field of audio mixing, Shawn has worked at some of the top post-production facilities in New York such as Soundtrack and Photomag Sound. He's been blessed enough to mix one of the first South Park spots, promos for The Matrix, recordings for King of The Hill and mixing for number #1 ranked cartoon shows Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon. He quickly established himself as one of the fastest post audio sound mixers around. You may recognize the rapper's voice on the theme song of the animated series One Piece... it's Shawn. During his free time he plays Racquetball and happens to be a regional champion. In Fall 2005, Shawn was finished #1 in Atlanta Georgia's USTA 3.5 Tennis singles competition (after only 15 months of playing). Today Shawn is an IT professional and full time motivator.
