One of Los Angeles' most sought-after interior designers, Kenneth has long been acclaimed for his ability to blend warm Southern hospitality with clean Southern California lines. Kenneth's unique creations reflect his belief that comfort holds the key to successful design, and his vision is shaped by the close relationships he nurtures with his clients. His work has been featured in numerous design publications around the world. He also stars in his own top-rated TV show, reDesign, on HGTV. The concept of gracious living came early to Kenneth, who got his start in his parents' backyard in rural Louisiana. Given the chore of raking leaves, Kenneth turned it into an opportunity to express his creativity by raking the leaves into a floor plan in their backyard. After battling a degree in microbiology at Louisiana State University, he accepted that his purpose was for something much more creative. While he graduated with the highest award from the college of design at LSU, he also studied both industrial and interior design for a term at Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester, England. During that year he traveled throughout Europe and further fine-tuned his aesthetic. Kenneth stands out among contemporary designers due to his fascination with structure, use of rich color, and delight in small details. His trademark is choosing interesting fabrics and accessories and using them simply rather than relying on complex designs and busy patterns. The resulting look is a clean updated traditional style and is distinctly Kenneth Brown. His broad exposure and popularity led MSN.com to offer Kenneth the role of resident Interior Design Expert. In 2005, Oprah Winfrey's "O" magazine featured Kenneth on her Live Your Best Life Tour. Moving forward, Kenneth is currently developing several product lines as well as writing an interior design book series. Kenneth's design firm, Kenneth Brown, is ever expanding and the recent move to new offices has doubled the size of his business allowing Kenneth to take on larger scale projects. He's current projects include; The Founder's Room for Cedars-Sinai Medical center, the Hammer's Los Angeles Residence, J. Cuevas Maui Residence, Endeavor Talent Agency in Beverly Hills, The A. Rudin Flagship Showroom located in Pacific Design Center, The Ackerman Santa Monica Residence as well as other high profile clients. Kenneth hopes to continue sharing his knowledge of interior design through his website and holds a strong belief that all budgets deserve good design and everyone deserves to live a beautiful life.
