Johanna Selbach

Champion freestyle swimmer Johanna "Jopie" Katarina Selbach was born on July 27, 1918 in Haarlem, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. Selbach won gold medals in the women's 4 x 100 meters freestyle relay at both the 1934 European Aquatics Championships and the 1936 Olympic games held in Berlin, Germany. Johanna died at age 79 on April 30, 1998 in Zoetermeer, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.
