For the past 12 years Amanda Lane has worked across genres and cultures-head writing and/or series directing some of South Africa's most ground breaking and commercially successful television shows. Most notable credits include: MTV'S Shuga (season 1-2) Jacobs Cross (season 3, 4, 5), 4-PLAY: Sex tips for girls (season 1-2), Zone 14 (season 1-2),Soul Buddyz (season 5), Tempy Pushas (season 1) Zibondiwe (season 1). She also directed the re-enactments for the acclaimed History Channel documentaries (Miracle Rising and Mandela: Nelson Redrawn) She also co-wrote and directed Ingoma a 90-minute TV movie for Mzanzi. The film was nominated for 10 SAFTA's and won 8. Most recently she created, wrote and directed Is'thunzi (season 1 and 2) for Mzanzi. The show trended at No. 1 weekly and achieved the highest AR's the channel has experienced in that time-slot.
