Chaya Supannarat

Chaya Supannarat is a producer and award-winning student director who has produced and co-produced five feature films. She specializes in action/thrillers as with her working title feature which is in post-production (2022). Chaya has also directed multiple short films. Her directing endeavors have won her several laurels including Best American Short Film at the International Festival Thailand. Chaya grew up watching and loving Hong Kong action films and has had the opportunity to work closely with action directors. These experiences have inspired her to combine her knowledge of dramatic thrillers with her love of action. Chaya is the daughter of a renowned casting director in Thailand. As such, she grew up watching many successful directors and producers on their movie sets. Having spent much of her childhood on set, Chaya feels at home amid the creative chaos of the filmmaking world. Originally from Thailand, she infuses all her films with a unique perspective and style that's all her own. Academically, Chaya earned her MFA in Screenwriting from California State University, Northridge while simultaneously producing two feature films.
