Jose Mangin is a natural-born headbanger, raised in an Arizona border town on a steady diet of Mötley Crüe, Metallica, and Pantera. Since 2000, he has lived his dream as a programming pioneer at SiriusXM Satellite Radio in NYC, where he oversees Liquid Metal, and also responsible for building/running Octane (active rock) for over seven years, and Ozzy's Boneyard (classic metal) for three. He hosts a weekday show on Liquid Metal, and weekends on Octane, and appears regularly on the Howard Stern Show, Raw Dog Comedy, and the Covino & Rich Show. An experienced television fixture, Jose hosted the nationally syndicated TV newsmagazine LatiNation for over eight years, appearing in over 100 major Latino markets. Mangin also fulfilled a childhood goal by hosting the legendary MTV Headbangers Ball for two years. When the Ball went online, he also produced, directed, and edited the show for another two. Mangin has appeared as a live host at hundreds of high profile concerts and events, notably Metallica's 2013 historic Apollo Theater concert & 2011 "Big 4" concert at Yankee Stadium; Ozzy Osbourne's birthday show at Madison Square Garden; Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH; many Jagermeister music tour dates; Dean Guitars NAMM webcast; Revolver magazine's Golden Gods awards; and Revolver/Guitar World's Rock & Roll Roasts. In 2013, Affliction Clothing named him director of artist relations, and Mangin now works closely with artists on all Affliction music branding. He is endorsed by Jagermeister, G-Pen, Monster Headphones, Dean Guitars, and Monster Energy Drink. He studied chemistry at University of Arizona and went to grad school for pharmacy at University of Tennessee in Memphis. Jose has been married for 14 years and has two beautiful headbanging daughters ages 8 and 11.
