Kelly Abbott got her start by leading an acting group in Seattle. She directed the play The Dining Room by A. R. Gurney for her college, then quickly moved to making films. Her directing diversity has covered dramas, comedies and action movies. She spent 3 years moderating Seattle filmmaker meetings with Indieclub.com. She is known for having up and coming filmmakers, as guest directors on her movies. In 2005 she began collaborating with a feminist group in a move to get more acting roles written for women. She is currently a writer/filmmaker in Seattle.
