Tüfekcioglu graduated from the Theater Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. After his conservatory education, he started to work at the State Theatres. He worked at Bursa State Theater, Antalya State Theater and Istanbul State Theater and retired from Istanbul State Theater in 2009. Tüfekcioglu died of liver failure on May 17, 2017 in a hospital in Istanbul where he was being treated. His grave is in Cengelköy Cemetery.
