Born in San Francisco in 1973, now based in London, Daria Martin is an internationally acclaimed artist and winner of the 2018 Jarman Award. With a degree in Humanities from Yale and Art from UCLA, she has been writing, directing and exhibiting short art films in galleries and museums for 20 years. Solo exhibitions include: Barbican, London; the New Museum, New York; Tate Britain, London; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; and the Australian Center for Contemporary Art, Melbourne. Daria's experimental films, which range from science fiction to an adaptation of Kafka, have also been shown in numerous international biennials and at MOMA New York; Pompidou, Paris; Tate Modern, London; and MOMA, Sao Paolo; the Berlin Film Festival; and Locarno Film Festival
