Joan May

Joan May was born and raised in Las Vegas to her Chinese parents. Both of her parents were born on the island of Taiwan and came to Las Vegas after getting married to start a new life in America. Joan has one sister who is a dental hygienist. Growing up, she longed to have blonde hair and blue eyes like her Barbie doll. But as she came out of her awkward stage, she began to embrace her dark hair and almond eyes. Always standing out as looking different, talent agencies soon took notice, and she began her career during high school. She attended college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she received her B.A. in Communication Studies with an emphasis in broadcasting. She was a Rebel Girl on the UNLV Dance Team. The Dance Team cheered and performed dance routines at all of the home football and basketball games. She earned the position of captain her senior year.
