Max Hattler

Audiovisual artist Dr. Max Hattler has had solo exhibitions and retrospectives at Pinakothek der Moderne Munich, Tenderpixel London, Playgrounds Festival, Lago Film Fest and others. His abstract animation works have been shown in countless film festivals and at museums and galleries such as Erarta St. Petersburg, MOCA Taipei, Espacio Fundación Telefónica Lima, and Yota Space. Awards include Cannes Lions, Bradford Animation Festival, St. Louis Film Festival, London International Animation Festival and several Visual Music Awards. He has performed live visuals around the world, at events including Reykjavik Visual Music, Electrovisiones Mexico City, Re-New Festival Copenhagen, and the European Media Art Festival. Hattler lives in Hong Kong, where he is an Associate Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong.
