Jorrit is an award winning film and documentary director/producer. Born and raised in the Netherlands, he began his career as a radio producer and presenter for several local radio stations when he was 18 years old. He earned a bachelors degree in TV journalism and started producing TV shows for Dutch National Television at the age of 23. Around that time he won his first award for a music video, featuring the citizen patrol group "The Guardian Angels" in Los Angeles, which won second prize at the Oldenburg film festival in Germany. It was followed by an experimental video about the work of Mother Teresa in Calcutta. Jorrit divides his time between the Netherlands, Belgium and California where he presented, directed and produced several TV series like "Rodeo Drive" and "Ranking the Cars" about the owners of rare and expensive cars in Las Vegas and Hollywood. He also directed and produced several award winning short movies in Hollywood and Belgium, published a novel and directed many TV series. His 1 hour documentary about the life of Colonel Parker (Elvis' manager) had a theatrical premiere and received high acclaim in national newspapers after it aired on Dutch national TV. Being a trilingual director (English, French and Dutch) gave Jorrit the opportunity to direct shoots in many countries such as Tanzania, DR Congo, France, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Germany.
